Aquamin® is a range of marine-derived minerals derived from two sources: pure seawater and calcified algae. 

The derived products are multi-mineral complexes, highly bioavailable and tolerable by the body, which is why they are used to add nutritional value to a wide range of food and nutraceutical applications. 

Aquamin® products are derived from the processing of algae of the Lithothamnium Calcareum species. This type of seaweed grows mainly in the cold waters off Iceland and southern Ireland, absorbing essential minerals and nutrients from the sea during the growth phase and thus becoming a 100% plant-based and sustainable source of calcium, magnesium and micronutrients essential for the body’s well-being. 

Aquamin® products derived from seawater use the purest water from the Irish Sea, turning it into a natural and sustainable source of bioactive magnesium, available in both hydroxide and citrate forms. But there’s more: in addition to magnesium, Aquamin® products sourced from seawater contain trace amounts of over 70 beneficial minerals, including sodium, potassium, manganese, iodine, phosphorus, and selenium.

Aquamin® F powder (32% Calcium – 2.2% Magnesium), designed for food applications and nutritional supplements. 

Aquamin® TG tablet grade (30% Calcium – 2.2% Magnesium) with unmodified maize starch added as a granulation binder, ideal for developing tablet-form food supplements. 

Aquamin® S (17% Calcium – 1% Magnesium) is developed to improve the nutritional profile of low-pH food products (3.0 – 6.0) including fruit juice drinks, fruit preparations, yoghurt, shakes and frozen desserts. 

Aquamin® SOLUBLE (12% Calcium, 1% Magnesium) for use in low-pH drinks (3.0 – 6.0), including isotonic beverages, still or fizzy drinks and powdered mixtures. 

Aquamin® MG Soluble (2% Calcium, 12% Magnesium) containing magnesium citrate, ideal for enhancing the nutritional profile of foods, low-pH drinks, nutraceutical products and food supplements.
